Lithium packs do not mind being used. They mind being hot, and they mind sitting full or empty for weeks. Five habits worth building.
Do not charge straight after a long ride
Give the pack twenty minutes to cool. Charging a hot battery is the single fastest way to age it.
Park in shade
A scooter in direct afternoon sun can reach temperatures that shorten pack life measurably over a season. Shade is free.
Avoid sitting at 100 percent
If you are not riding tomorrow, stop around 80 percent. For storage longer than a fortnight, leave it near half and top up monthly.
Use the supplied charger
It talks to the battery management system. A generic charger does not, and the pack pays for it.
Keep the tyres right
Not a battery habit as such, but under-inflated tyres make the motor work harder, which drains the pack faster and heats it more.
